Section 1 Scope, Definitions
(1) The following General Terms and Conditions, in the version valid at the time of the order, apply exclusively to the business relationship between bee-id, Owner: Nico Rößler Inh. bee-id.de, Städtelner Str. 146, 04416 Markkleeberg (hereinafter referred to as the “Provider”) and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the “Customer”).
(2) This offer is directed at consumers (Section 13 of the German Civil Code – BGB). A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor related to their independent professional activity.
Section 2 Subject of Service: Hive Pass & Hardware
Hardware: The Provider sells physical products for labeling items (e.g., “Stealth-Vision” stickers, QR tags).
Digital Services (Hive Pass): The Provider provides a platform that enables anonymous chats between finders and owners via QR codes or alphanumeric codes (SaaS).
Reward Function: The Provider merely provides the technical interface to display reward information. Any payments or rewards are agreed upon exclusively and directly between the finder and the owner. The Provider is not a party to such agreements.
Section 3 Conclusion of Contract & Term (Subscription)
(1) The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather an invitation to place an order.
(2) Subscription (Hive Pass):
a) The contract for the “Hive Pass” is concluded as a subscription.
b) Trial Month: The first month is free for new customers (“Free Trial”).
c) Conclusion of Contract: After the 30-day trial period expires, the customer must actively conclude a subscription by purchasing the Hive Pass.
d) Term & Renewal: Once concluded, the subscription has an initial term of 365 days. Thereafter, the contract is renewed for an indefinite period. Billing is carried out in advance for a further year by default.
e) Cancellation & Refund: After the initial term, the subscription can be canceled at any time with one month’s notice via the user dashboard (“My Account” > “Subscriptions”). Any overpaid fees for the remaining billing period in the event of a mid-year cancellation will be refunded proportionally via the original payment method.
Section 4 Prices and Payment
(1) All prices include the statutory value-added tax (VAT).
(2) Payment is made via the payment methods offered in the shop (e.g., PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
(3) For subscription contracts, the fee is due in advance for a further 12 months at the beginning of each billing period.
Section 5 Delivery and Availability
(1) Physical goods (e.g., stickers) will be delivered to the address provided by the customer.
(2) Digital services are available immediately after the conclusion of the contract (or expiration of the trial phase).
Section 6 Right of Withdrawal
Consumers generally have a right of withdrawal. Further details are provided in the separate cancellation policy.
Section 7 Retention of Title
The delivered goods remain the property of the Provider until full payment has been made.
Section 8 Liability
(1) The Provider has unlimited liability for intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, limb, and health or the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations).
Loss of Items: The Provider does not guarantee the recovery of lost items. Using bee-id only increases the likelihood of a return.
Availability: The Provider strives for 99% platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted accessibility (e.g., during maintenance work).
Section 9 Customer Obligations (Chat & Content)
(1) The customer agrees not to send any illegal, offensive, or discriminatory content in the anonymous chat.
(2) In the event of violations, the Provider reserves the right to block the account immediately (revoke “VIP status”).
Section 10 Dispute Resolution
The EU Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.
