2 General Information and Data Minimization
We take the protection of your data seriously (“Honeycomb Fortress”). We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide our website and services. Since our service is designed for security and anonymity, we collect as little data as possible.
3 Hosting and Log Files
Every time you visit our site, our system automatically collects data from your computer system (IP address, browser, time). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Legitimate interest in security and stability).
4 Registration and 30-Day VIP Status Trial
When you register with Bee-ID, your free 30-day VIP trial starts automatically.
Processed data: During this phase, we only collect your name and email address (as well as your address, if applicable, if you order physical products like stickers).
No payment data: No payment data (credit card, bank details) is collected or processed during the trial phase.
Purpose: Provision of the user account and protection features (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
5 End of Trial Phase and Subscription Conclusion
After the 30 days, the contract does not automatically convert into a paid subscription (“Active Opt-In”).
Active decision: If you want to keep your VIP protection, you must actively book the subscription in the dashboard. Payment data will only be collected and processed at that point.
Suspension and deletion: If you do not opt for a subscription, your account will be put into a dormant mode. Your protection features will then be inactive. We will save your settings for another 3 months to allow you to reactivate later. If no activation occurs, the account will be permanently deactivated after this period and your personal data will be deleted or anonymized, provided there are no legal retention periods.
6 Bee-ID Core Features: Your Protection
a) QR codes and anonymity: Your profile is protected in VIP mode. When a finder scans your QR code, no personal data is shown to them. They are redirected directly to our secure communication system.
b) Anonymous chat: Messages between the finder and you are stored on our server to provide the chat history. No data is shared with third parties.
c) Push notifications (PWA): For real-time find reports, we store an anonymized technical identifier (token) for your device. You can revoke this at any time in your browser settings.
7 Payment Service Providers
We use service providers such as PayPal or Stripe.
Important: Data is only transferred to these service providers if you actively decide to purchase a subscription or a product after the trial phase. No data flows to payment providers before then. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (Performance of contract).
8 Cookies and Local Storage
We use technically necessary cookies (e.g., for login status).
“beeid_last_ticket” cookie: Stores your chat access locally on your device for 3 days for a quick return to the chat.
9 Your Rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, and restriction of the processing of your data. You can object to the processing or assert your right to data portability. Simply contact us at the email address provided above.
